In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old woman fell victim to a cunning thief who posed as a physiotherapist. The suspect, identified as Anindita Bose, alias Boby Aggarwal or Ani Aggarwal, had been hired by the elderly lady for physiotherapy sessions to address her health issues.
However, after completing the session, Bose deceitfully persuaded the victim to take a shower, taking advantage of her distraction. During this time, Bose stole a substantial amount of cash, totaling Rs 4 lakhs, as well as gold and silver ornaments, along with a mobile phone.
Upon realizing the theft, the victim promptly lodged a complaint with the local authorities at Laketown Police Station. Responding swiftly, the police apprehended the accused, a resident of Dum Dum, who worked at a beauty parlour in Garia.
During the investigation, law enforcement recovered the stolen mobile phone and some of the stolen jewelry. The accused is currently in police custody, and efforts are underway to retrieve further stolen items.
